Are smartphone cameras important to you? Then you might want to keep an eye out for this Lumia device in the new year.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 was revealed last year, and came with quite the hype thanks to the 42MP shooter – but we think it’s about time we saw the upgrade.
Future products have looked uncertain, following news that Microsoft planned to drop Nokia branding on smartphones for future devices – but [tweet_dis]it seems we still be seeing a Lumia 1020 successor, and it may well come with a 50MP camera.[/tweet_dis]That’s some news we’re pretty excited to here.
A new leak
Rumours come after a new leak showing the next device in the Microsoft Lumia line up – named the Lumia 1030 or 1052. The Lumia 1030 sounds like a pretty good name for 1020 successor, don’t you think?
Other sources claim it will come with the 50MP camera that features short pulse LED flash and has a shutterless design – all features that would set it apart from other smartphone cameras.
What else do we know about the Lumia 1020?
It’s also thought that the Lumia 1020 successor will come with a 5-inch Full HD display metal casing, running the very latest Windows Phone OS.
Some experts also believe it could double up as the McLaren smartphone rumoured to follow on from the 1020, which means it could come with the 3D interface which would reportedly work like Microsoft’s Kinect.
Obviously nothing’s been confirmed yet, but it looks like we’ve got a pretty exciting device heading our way.
